Alessandro Busci
He paints, on rusty iron sheets, cityscapes at dusk, nocturnal images à la Blade runner where the atmospheres are always sail te of disquiet. He chooses suburbs without identity, buildings under construction, streets where lampposts and telephone booths have an ominous and sinister air. Many details betray the presence of man, which the artist always avoids showing thus giving the landscapes a sense of loneliness and abandonment. One of his cycles of works isdedicated to the Milanese stadium of San Siro behind which, far in the background, the profile of the city draws a horizon line broken by roofs, skyscrapers and cranes.
He participated to the 5th Premio Cairo in 2004.
