From the elaboration of memories and mental visualisations, Dario Maglionico paints interior scenes populated by solitary, sometimes evanescent characters who perform actions at different moments, in a suspended time where past and present coexist simultaneously. These are impressions and reminiscences, first reformulated with 3D models of the settings and then transposed onto canvas with detailed painting. These rooms become the staging of overlapping and multiplied points of view, like space-time reifications, alluding to the variability of the perceptual sphere. In the painting Reification #95, a female figure in different poses inhabits a surreal environment, where everyday objects and unusual, deformed, aerial presences appear, such as the jellyfish or the baroque pearl with a  Meanwhile, fragments of images flow repeatedly on a transparent curtain, as if it were a threshold, a filter of visual references and psychic stratifications. 'These are visions suspended between dream and consciousness,“ says Maglionico, 'between what we remember and what we believe we see”. The linear progression of time is thus cancelled out, becoming internalised space, like an echo propagating in the eternal present.
