Successful Story
Born in Bologna in 1977, she lives between Bologna and New York.
She participated to the 9th Premio Cairo, in 2008.
The focus of Sissi's work is the body in relation to the space that surrounds it. In her early performances she moved in structures she created, her investigation then led her to an approach in which it is her body itself that becomes sculptural material. According to Sissi, the static body has more impact, as immobility conceals and emanates infinite potential. In her latest works, she combines drawing, painting and sculpture intertiene with each other, thus linking her moods with those of those in front of her.
