Marco Cingolani
A sense of history is the starting point of Marco Cingolani's painting, who since the mid-1980s has painted canvases on news events such as The Finding of Aldo Moro's Body and The Pope's Assault. Close to figuration in the past, today he constructs images rendered almost exclusively with large brushstrokes. Cyclical canvases with St. Luke tries to paint, or the saga of Jacob struggling against the angel.
He participated to the 3rd Premio Cairo in 2002.
