Giulia Andreani
Born in 1985 in Venice, Giulia Andreani lives and works in Paris.
In 2008 she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and received a master's degree in Contemporary Art History from the Sorbonne University in Paris in 2010. In 2018 she was awarded a fellowship at Villa Medici, Academy of France in Rome; in 2022 she was among the finalists for the Prix Duchamp.
Recent solo exhibitions include Galerie Max Hetzler, Berlin (2022); Galerie Max Hetzler, London; Galerie Saint-Séverin, Paris (2020); Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dole; Labanque, Béthune (2019); Villa Medici, Rome (2018). His work has been shown in numerous group exhibitions at international institutions, including: Fondation Carmignac, île de Porquerolles, Hyères; Villa Noailles, Hyères; Palazzo Grassi, Venice; Le Consortium, Dijon; FRAC - Grand Large, Hauts-de-France (2023); Centre Pompidou, Paris; 16th Lyon Biennial, Lyon; Museum Dhondt-Dhaenens, Sint-Martens-Latem (2022); Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Turin (2021); Musée d'Art Contemporain, Lyon; Passerelle Centre d'art contemporain, Brest (2020); MASP, São Paulo (2019).
She participated to the 17th Premio Cairo, in 2016.
