Alessandra Spranzi

Her artistic research is linked to photography, photographic staging, the reuse of her own and others' photographic images, collage and 'photography of photographs'.

Her work denotes a taste for poor materials, everyday, domestic situations, neglected and obsolete objects, manual labour and the gestures that accompany them.

Through these tools and subjects, through even minimal appropriations and manipulations, the artist never ceases to question the mystery of existence and the fundamental forces that determine our destiny as well as that of the objects and environments that surround us.
